FetchCore™ is cloud-based robotics software that gives you complete control of your robots and automation by deploying and fully integrating a wide range of automated workflows into your warehouse and manufacturing operations.
In this paper we discuss which automation options including fixed automation like conveyors, G2P systems, and flexible automation, are most suitable for 3PLs.
Our Cloud Robotics Platform is the only solution that deploys safe, reliable, and versatile Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments within hours.
Compare the cost of manually transporting goods versus the efficiency of using autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from Zebra’s Robotics Automation. The savings will surprise you.
Major fashion manufacturer, Bespoke Manufacturing Company, transcends customer experience and triples production capacity with AMRs and fixed industrial scanning automation.
IDC evaluates 8 AMR vendors on capabilities and strategy and provides tips on why AMRs should be considered for warehouse automation.
Build mixed pallets directly on AMRs to significantly reduce wasted manual travel time
Distribution centers still have an overwhelming need to build efficient case picking operations, especially those that serve retail and e-commerce operations. Case picking requires a large amount of space, labor, and specialized equipment to be run effectively and therefore issues like chronic labor shortages, high turnover, and insufficient inventory space cause significant issues. In addition, due to the need for costly specialized equipment, case picking operations are more expensive and have added risk when equipment like forklifts and lift trucks are operating around people.
Using our cloud based AMRs and integrations, you can minimize the amount of time your specialized employees have to leave their zones to transport cases and partial pallets through the facility. This has the added benefit of reducing forklift and lift truck accidents and congestion for your other operations. By remaining in their zones, case pickers can focus on picking while AMRs transport partial and complete orders or pallets to the next stage in the case picking process. Integrations with WES and WMS systems maximize UPH and greatly decrease order turnaround time.
This short video demonstrates how AMR-assisted case picking works with an optimization layer combined with handheld scanners, voice headsets, and a HUD. When your picker receives an order in their zone, they pick the case directly onto a pallet on the robot, allowing the robot to autonomously transport partial orders between zones or complete orders to areas designed for pallet wrapping or shipping. Now that your pickers aren’t manually moving goods throughout your facility, they are able to keep picking instead of spending the majority of their valuable time moving goods to the next stage in the case picking process.
The ideal AMR base for automating case picking supports 40" x 48" pallets.
