Interested in what MODEX was like for Fetch this year?
We’ve created this blog and a highlight reel of our booth to keep you in on the action if you were unable to go.
Our team had a blast at the recently-concluded MODEX show in Atlanta. Apart from being able to show our announcements in action, our team was excited to connect with many leading companies that are looking to transform their operations and automate material movement with AMRs.
Before the start of the show, we mapped all 350,000 sq ft. of the MODEX show floor with a Fetch robot within 1 hour – all thanks to our cloud-based platform that delivers on-demand automation.
While attendance to MODEX was definitely lighter than usual, we were thrilled to speak to so many industry leaders, facilities, and fellow exhibitors. We are looking forward to connecting further with those that have set-up following meetings with our team. Fun fact: we even sold a CartConnect100 during the show.
Our booth (#9011 this year) was on a main aisle which provided foot traffic to our space. Right next to that aisle, we had our newly-released CartConnect500 alternating between picking up a cart with a customized flow rack and a pallet of shrink wrapped boxes that measured 40x40in deep and 5ft tall. This part of our demo loop was the main attraction of attendees (and exhibitors) to our booth.
Many of our partners who came by said that Fetch had one of the busiest booths at MODEX. Additionally, a couple of exhibitors came by the booth on Thursday and said that they’ve been asking attendees, “What’s the coolest thing they’ve seen at the show this year?”, 8 out of 10 said that the Fetch Robotics booth was their favorite.
When asked, “What is the coolest thing you’ve seen at the show this year?”, 8 out of 10 attendees said that the Fetch Robotics booth was their favorite.
We had in-booth demonstrations every hour and a half. The in-booth demonstrations helped drive attendees to our booth that we would then talk with afterwards to see if they had interest in deploying AMRs. These demonstrations included:
- Maximizing Pick Efficiency with Fetch and FulfillmentEdge by Zebra and Workflow Builder
- CartConnect500, the Autonomous Cart Transportation for Large Payloads
- How Universal Logistics Uses Fetch to Address Labor Shortages at their 1 million sq ft facility to support Nissan Motors
- Handheld-driven Fulfillment using CartConnect
- Automated RFID Tracking with TagSurveyor
- Voice-driven Fulfillment and AMR Orchestration with Honeywell
- Voice-driven Fulfillment and AMR Orchestration with HighJump
Our in-booth demonstrations drove partner product integrations that we will be able to leverage as we start to focus on customers that have deployed voice solutions or want optimized fulfillment across piece, case, and pallet workflows – a big differentiator among other fulfillment-based AMR companies. In addition to our in-booth demos, Fetch AMRs were also running at a number of our partners’ booths.
Now that you have an idea of the booth layout, it’s time to put it all together with this year’s MODEX highlight reel:
While MODEX was definitely lighter this year, we were excited to announce some key improvements to our portfolio, set-up meetings with our strategic partners, and to meet industry leaders in their field. See you all next year!
